Comments:

Swim was ok considering the last 5 months training in a 23m pool and only one open water swim for last 6 months. Just took it steady, picked up pace a little in second lap. Kicked in face only once.

Increase pace just a bit more.

Mesh transition bag got some gear wet, such as socks, otherwise wet well. Forgot sunscreen.

Good steady ride, llittle hard on way back for second lap into headwind. Rode hills comfortably including Matthew Flinders.

Good run, at 20km had to walk through aid stationf or 2-300m, just mentally needed it. Straigh back into pace up the small hill, did similar at 30k mark, one pit stop, should have stretched legs then. pace for last 10k was up. Found the first 5km hard to keep pace down, still running to fast off the bike. Pace gradually droped throughout race on constant decline. Best long run i've done.
What would you do differently?:

Start out slower, i think it helps.

Had massage after race, legs and a little lower back

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Hills training in both running and riding. Swim need techincal training.

Event comments:

One of the best run events.As was the last IM race at Port macquarie.
