Pre-race routine:

Not enough time to warm up and do the essentials I thought. Still managed a decent warm up and felt ready to go when we were called.
Swim
  • 28m 28s
  • 1500 meters
  • 01m 54s / 100 meters
Transition 1
  • 04m 54s
Comments:

Wasn't happy...too much gear to sort out and hadn't planned or practised properly. Can cut this by 1 mins any or possibly 1 mins 30 secs next time round.
What would you do differently?:

Plan more in advance and practise.
Bike
  • 1h 19m 6s
  • 40 kms
  • 30.34 km/hr
Transition 2
  • 02m 20s
What would you do differently?:

Need to practise taking my feet out of shoes and pedalling with feet on top of shoes!!
Run
  • 44m 5s
  • 10 kms
  • 04m 25s  min/km
Comments:

Quite a comfortable run. Felt like I was on auto-pilot on second lap. Very happy with sub 45mins time.
Post race
Warm down:

No warm down.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Tired legs after hills on cycle. Poor transitions.

Event comments:

Very very enjoyable event for my first olympic distance triathlon.
