Total Time = 1h 52m 39s
Overall Rank = 236/400
Age Group = w30-34
Age Group Rank = 5/12
Event warmup:

Did a swim to warm up - good idea.
Swim
  • 16m 30s
  • 766 yards
  • 02m 10s / 100 yards
Comments:

goggles moved up for some reason and I was seeing distorted images in the last half, had to keep my head up for longer periods of time to make sure I was spotting right. It wasn't until I was almost done that I realized it would be easier to move them... caught up in the race.
What would you do differently?:

better goggles, but can't complain, it was a good time for me.
Transition 1
  • 03m 5s
What would you do differently?:

bungee quick ties on my bike shoes as well.
Bike
  • 54m 43s
  • 15.53 miles
  • 17.03 mile/hr
Comments:

Could have done much better, but for some reason I couldn't quite find the groove with my bike. Was being passed when I'm usually the one passing.
What would you do differently?:

P4 Cervelo, but I'm dreaming
Transition 2
  • 01m 39s
Comments:

those bungee quick ties make a huge difference! Getting into my runners was easy and they are perfectly tied.
Run
  • 36m 44s
  • 7 kms
  • 05m 15s  min/km
Comments:

The wooded trail was muddy and slippery and the bridge bounced with the runners. Several runners slipped getting up and down the steps on the bridge. It through me off and I slowed right down. Did the first 4km in 19min, last 3 slow and cautious.
What would you do differently?:

Allow myself to fall, maybe run beside the bridge (the creek wasn't that bad).
Post race
Warm down:

hung around the finish line to cheer friend in... stretched in the grass, lots of great lawn to spread out on with shade.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

psyched out on the run... totally mental

Event comments:

decent parking, no line up to get into the parking because it was right off the road and there was no fee booth. as always, there was a line up for the portapotties...
