Pre-race routine:

Late start for a triathlon 11.30 so had breakfast at a reasonable time and got there early, set up transition and then sat and watched the sea for a while.

first time I have completed an open water swim so i am proud that i managed to get through it without begging them to save me. I found it really hard, also hard to see that I wasn't actually last out of the sea!

Train more in open water - get faster?

Collapsed in heap. Given water which i drunk. Tried to eat energy bar but even my jaw was tired

First redcar tri. I thought it was well organised and all the marshals were lovely. I want to do it again next year and try to get a bit faster
