Age Group Rank = 1597/1604
Pre-race routine:

Awake at 2:45 to get some hot chocolate and board a shuttle bus.

Started out cold, but by my finish time, the sun was warm.
Event warmup:

Walk 14 miles from the bus drop off to the start corrals. Seriously, I think I did a marathon distance total that day.

Comments:

I won't belabor the point. I was a wreck once I got past mile 10. I was under-trained. It was my first half-marathon, and I barely made the sweep. I saw the road being closed behind me once I was on the road into Epcot. It was brutal. I will never go into a race that unprepared again. Feet and legs were a mess.
What would you do differently?:

Continue to train the 6 weeks prior to the race.
Post race
Warm down:

Continue the Kona shuffle pace that I did from mile 11, to the parking lot and back into Epcot with my family. Great idea. Wait in line for Soarin'. Hotel, nap, Hoop De Doo Revue. Bed.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Under-training, two long days of Disney parks right before the race. Not losing more weight in the last year.

Event comments:

RunDisney will absolutely spoil you for running anywhere else. It's pricey, but the entire experience is top notch, beginning to end. Without magic pixie dust and the whole atmosphere, I may have gotten on the bus at mile 9. It's a great venue for anyone doing their first of the 1/2 or full distance, but still never ever ever ever fail to respect the distance.
