What would you do differently?:

Swim harder out of the gate. Was lolly gagging at first and had to remind mself I was in a race!

What would you do differently?:

Run up the boat ramp. The cement was hard on my foot with the screw in it. If I can find shoes that won't be slippery when wet then I should leave those at the bottom of the hill and run up.

I got a frigging flat tire!!! I could not get the tire off the rim to change the flat on my new bike. Geez Louise, it took me about 20 minutes to change the tire and that is with the help of a support person on a motorcycle, he had a hard time getting it off as well.
What would you do differently?:

Don't get a flat and ride more hills at a harder pace. I could do all the hills OK, but I did not do them as well as I should have. It was more of a Sunday ride than a race.

Nice event, I recommend Wildflower if you want a challenge. Our relay was the last wave of the day, if possible try to get seated in an earlier wave!

Course: Shae said it was "very hilly", I guess when I warned her to train on hills months ago she did not believe me (LOL). She was disappointed that she walked some of the hills.
