Pre-race routine:

Up at 4:20am today. We stayed in Manteo which is down at the finish line. There were shuttles taking runners to the start and the bus left at 5:45am. I ate more than normal this morning...two mini bagels with peanutbutter and a banana + a clif bar.
Event warmup:

I got to the start line an hour early. It was chilly...tried to stay warm. I couldn't decide what to run in? I wanted to run in a long sleeve but knew it would get warm pretty fast! Ended up with running capri's, singlet and arm warmers!

Comments:

PR for me by 4 minutes. I started out ahead of my goal pace which I was fine with. I like to bank a little extra time just in case I lose time at the end which happened to me this time. The bridge at mile 23 was a challenge. I felt good right up until then...
What would you do differently?:

Nothing!
Post race
Warm down:

Hung out with the crew (Adam, Andrea, Scott and Clint) at the post race party!

Event comments:

Great race for me! I ended the season with a PR. This time not only qualifies me for Boston but for NYC marathon as well!
