Pre-race routine:

Early bus pickup at my hotel (3:30 AM). I had Race Retreat, so I headed there to eat breakfast (PB&J Bagel, orange, banana, water), then warmed up on the walk to the corral.
Event warmup:

About a 1.5 mile walk to corral, then loosening up and stretching while waiting to start.

Comments:

Day 3 of the Dopey Challenge. My original intention was to try to PR this race and goof off for the marathon, but I decided it would be smarter to save gas for the full and goof off this day. Plus the weather wasn't conducive to a fast 13.1. I ran an easy pace until the 3 mile mark where I started taking time to get photos with characters and just enjoy the atmosphere and save my legs for Sunday. My overall time was very slow for me (over an hour slower than my PR at the distance) but I felt great after the race and needed almost no time to recover and go to Hollywood Studios with my family.
What would you do differently?:

Under the circumstances, nothing. I ran according to my plan, had fun acting like a kid, and had plenty gas in the tank for the marathon.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around the post race area, bus back to the hotel, showered, ate.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Weather conditions and the next day's marathon. And too many distractions on the course. :)

Event comments:

Great race and course, but kind of crowded and not conducive to a fast race.
