Got to race site (7:30), setup transition and registered

Comments:

Time trial start... started passing people from the start and kept going. Didn't find anyone to draft off of. Navigation was easy when swimming next to shore (except looking down at the yummy seaweed!), and also when crossing the river with the buoys easy to make out against the shoreline. Long run to the T1 timing mat, so swim time was faster than recorded.

Wetsuit stuck on ankles so needed to pull off each with hands.
What would you do differently?:

Work on getting the wetsuit off with just stepping on it. Try having the shoes on the bike and skip the socks.

Started out with problem getting left foot clipped in. After that, just got into a good rhythm. Picked up the pace after the turnaround.

Started out comfortable after exiting T2. Kept the pace the same until the last 1.5k or so.
What would you do differently?:

Run faster!
Maybe wear a watch to get a better indication of what the km pace is.

Drank water, walked around with family, ate lots.

Great race, will consider it again next year.
