Comments:

Felt very strong. At first, I drafted behind this girl until 1st bouy then took off. I felt I was navigating prety well so I swam fast and swam into a canoe that was trying to help this guy. I held on for a second and felt okay so I continued. (After the race, I now have a reddened area & a sore nose but no bruises)

Not swim into a canoe!

This is included in my Bike time. My Transitions are getting faster.
What would you do differently?:

I need to practice getting off my bike. I did twist my ankle when I got off but it didn't hurt any. Thank goodness!!!!

I walked more in the beginning and up hills. I looked at my time & I knew I could get a PR so after mile 1. I just went for it. I ran at a good pace and then finished with everything I had!!

I need to run more!

Nothing, except swimming into the canoe. I went hard the whole time.

I wishe they had timing chips. It was a fun race!

Course: There was a pretty good head wind at the beginning so it slowed me. I felt very strong on the bike! I really pushed it hard. On the way back I was faster (maybe the tailwind helped a little). Time wise I was about the same but the wind was a factor. The last time I have done the course there has been no wind.
