Swim
Comments: Longest swim thus far! Hectic start, got into a good groove and went ~75% for most of swim. Kicked it to 90% for last 500m. Good sighting, not-so-good drafting. What would you do differently?: Better drafting. Transition 1
Comments: Put shoes on in TX Bike
Comments: Winded at start after swim. Climbing was not especially strong, but I did pass folks throughout the course. Had 1 bottle Cliff plus 2 bottles H2O from aid stations. What would you do differently?: Better climbing! Transition 2
Comments: I have very good TX times. Run
Comments: Mostly got passed, but gained a few spots back. Lots of H2O and Gatorade, even a Powerbar! Walked a couple of the steep uphill sections. What would you do differently?: Run faster! Post race
Warm down: Cold wet towels waiting for us at the finish! Had oranges, granola, yogurt, Gatorade, water, etc. Jumped in lake to cool off for a bit. GOt a burrito and a beer at the expo, rested for a bit, then packed-up. What limited your ability to perform faster: Running and climbing ability. Event comments: Definitely want to make this a hallmark of the triathlon season! Last updated: 2008-12-17 12:00 AM

Drove to the lake on Saturday night, found a spot in the dark. Got everything setteled and hit the sack at 10:30. Up by 6:00, had oatmeal and coffee. Rode to reg and got TX setup in plenty of time -- over an hour to spare! Had a 5-HR energy and H2O.
Ran for about 10 minutes, and then swam a few strokes before start.
