  • Comments: My third Dallas Full marathon. Probably the 6th or 7th time I've run out there. Unfortunately the course is constantly changing. I miss the old course, but it is what it is. Still a great race that's highly organized.

  • Comments: This was a very organized and fun race to run. There were several live bands throughout the course and it was nice to see all the people out cheering us on. My only complaint is there were only 2 gel stations and there was no water near them. I'm used to having to wash gels down with water so after having to spit one up, I had to wait until the next water station to pop a gel.

  • Comments: New run course for the Dallas Half Marathon. Hilly on mile 12. Humid, in the 60s. Happy with PR

  • Comments: They did a good job with this race this year. The venue, course, starting line all great job. They do a good job engaging the neighborhoods too-plenty of fan support and cheering. It was probably great spectating weather if not good running weather. High Points: Easy DART access, random $20 bill on the ground, Hooters girls, even if they are too young to behave that way, well organized.

  • Comments: Fair Park venue is much better than when I ran from American Airlines center in 2009. Decent start, well-marked course, nice finishing area. Despite the torrential downpour throughout the race, aid stations were well-staffed. Crowds were only OK, because of the rain. Post-race was well done: free phones to make calls; efficient recovery of bag drops; food was: chips, pretzals, hot soup, bagels, bananas, Gatorade, and beer. Only disappointment was the poor finisher shirts.

  • Comments: Blew-up two years in a row. 2008 -- @ 18 miles. 2009 -- @ 20 miles. Probably will not do DWR in 2010.

  • Comments: My only issue was that you had to walk a bit and stand in line (10 min) to go into the finishers area and get water and food. They need to have water immediately after the race. OH, and my Garmin and my buddies Garmin both had the race at 13.35 miles not 13.1 miles.

  • Comments: They definitely need to do better on the water post race and the food, it was a real let down not to have water on hand after running 26.2 miles!

  • Comments: This was a great race. I liked how they had the different starting groups. I bet that helped out a lot. Plenty of aid stations and volunteers. I couldn't believe how many people there were out cheering us on. It was awesome. There were a lot of bands out there too.

  • Comments: This was probably one of my most favorite races. The neighborhoods you run through in Dallas are gorgeous and the lake is pretty too. Nice and flat for the most part and the volunteers were great!

  • Comments: The race was great, plenty of aid stations, plenty of volunteers. The post-race activities were lacking considering the size of the event and the entry fee (compared to other races). Last year they had a lot of local vendors inside the arena after the race offering food, coffee, etc. This year there was some Mich Ultra and that was it. It did make things much less crowded.

  • Comments: I wanna of course thank everyone for their support, especially Scott and Courtney :) It was great that you guys were out there to see it. White Rock is a great race. It easily has the best Expo i've ever been to (including Hawaii) and is really well run. I wasnt too happy about the half and full starting at the same time this year but I guess logistically it worked out better? I think the idea of corrals was a good idea. I heard a few people complain saying it was so crowded. For most of these people, they should have been prepared and shown up early enough. This is a big city marathon and 10,000 + people should be expected. The race director did a great job of having enough volunteers and aid stations. I also heard they brought in more H20 due to the temps. Well done. The finisher shirts and medals were top notch.

  • Comments: This was a really well-run race. The organization was great, the crowds were great, it was a very open course so friends could see you a lot. The swag and expo were really good too. I got a total of 2 technical shirts and a cotton tshirt from the race, not too shabby! I would def reccomend it to anyone looking for a marathon in TX.

  • Comments: I can't say that I was a fan of the Half and the Full starting at the same time. The "corral" idea sounds good in concept, but it was poorly executed. I lost count of the "B" people that started in my "A" wave. Anyway, the giant sign that directed the Half to go one way and the Full to go another was a very welcome sight (I don't understand how that Half guy missed the turn off). Both Todd and I felt that the post-race offerings paled in comparison that those of last year's race. I was really too tired to care all that much, though, so it's hardly something that'll keep me from coming back.

  • Comments: This was the biggest race I have done. Volunters and spectators were fantastic! I just love it when somebody you don't know sya something like "Way to go Jason, You look good". Of course I know I look good but it's nice to get reassurance every once in awhile! I never imagined there would be so many volunteers at the aid stations. And there were spectators at almost all of the intersections. I loved it! I will definitely be back.

  • Comments: Yeah, I'm guilty of being a sap with this RR. But, this was my greatest experience in endurance events. The emotion that is running a marathon has been unlike anything else. While the HIM's I did this year were very special, this meant so much because I was able to run it with Gina. And I really believe this was a necessary step in becoming an Ironman. Yes, I am now one step closer to the M-dot!
