  • Comments: Could not get bikes till last racer finished the bike. The last guy was barely moving and hundreds of people were waiting outside of transition. I might not do this race again because of this. Went to solana beach after and it a perfect day with the family.

  • Comments: Fourth year in a row I have done this race, but first 3 were duathlon - triathlon is much more competitive! Much prefer starting in first wave. Course was very cluttered by the time I hit the bike and run. Band and beer garden post-race. Pizza from Pizza Port. Just grabbed some free FRS and water. This is a good local race. Just wish they would have 5 splits - never have tho. Not sure they ever will.

  • Comments: The surf gods were very kind this year. I am greatful because I made a quik recovery from the crash. I burned nearly 1500 calories. I improved my time by approximately 7 minutes over last year.

  • Comments: Although i think i could of done better, i'm proud of my time. My goal was 1:10:00 beat it by 3 minutes. This was my first race, I've done centuries and other run's way more unorganized. I had a good experience with KOZ ent. Only thing was the transition area was very crowded. Other than that, I didnt run into any issues. oh, parking was a PITA but that's not their fault ;)

  • Comments: I have no official time, but the race organizers were kind enough to email my splits for my own info. 12:35 swim, 34:09 bike (probably not far off from what I should have been able to do, including T1 and T2) and 27:31 run, for 1:14:15.

  • Comments: It was a well organized event,so it gets a 4. They could have had individual water bottles instead of small dixie cups. I'm not a drinker so the beer garden didn't do much for me, nor did pizza at 9:30-10 a.m. The oranges were great though and the volunteers were plentiful.

  • Comments: Koz puts on great races at an affordible price! Would like to see the transition segments broken out. I think I ran over 4 mats from when I got out of the water until I got into T1.

  • Comments: I had a good time at this race. This was my first pay triathlon & my second one overall. I do like the SD tri club races a little better because they are more laid back.
