  • Comments: This is the longest sprint of my season this year with it's 15 mile bike route. The long staggered start time was odd to me but worked well with the number of participants. Fortunately most of my run training is during my lunch break so my late start time didn't impact my performance much as I'm used to running in the mid-day heat. For the most part the volunteers were great and the overall vibe of the event was laid back and enjoyable.

  • Comments: nice, friendly, small-town race. no chip timing makes things not-that-accurate (and surely increases their need for volunteer labor!) ... starting in the afternoon wasn't all that fun, but necessary, given the logistics of a smooth pool swim. given all the limitations of the race, the volunteers did an EXCELLENT job of helping the race staff keep things organized. i had a LOT of fun. this was a great first triathlon. :)

  • Comments: The race didn't do split times, which kind of sucked. I looked at my watch as I got out of the pool so I knew my approximate time on the swim, but the rest I'm not sure of. It also would have been nice to have age group rankings.

  • Comments: Take out relays 170/641 Women only 31/283 Next year don't attend Saturday bike check-in/packet pickup. It saves only about 10 minutes of time on Sunday, but we spent 45 minutes waiting in the sun on Saturday.

  • Comments: First time doing this annual race. It's a nice course, and it's only 5 minutes from my house. My goal was 1:40 and I went 1:40.5, so it was a good race. It was a very warm day and I was lucky to have an early start.
