  • Comments: Growing up going to Disney, it was awesome to run through the parks and was even better that Brad and I ran together!! Some parts were a little boring, but the bands/DJs and characters were fun and distracting.

  • Comments: this is a very well run race. i would prefer to have more food stops along the way, but the course is great and the characters and entertainment along the course are nice. it sucks to get up that early, but you really could arrive a lot later than we did and be fine if you had your act together (don't need to drop off bag, etc.) it's noce to be done so early and have the whole day left. it's also good to beat the heat. even though it has been too cold in the past, it was hot this year and running at noon would be no good. anyone who likes disney should plan to run it some day.

  • Comments: Will I do this race again...probably not and here's why 1. When we committed to this race, we still lived in MD and it ws a nice warm weather weekend getaway. Living in Texas, we really don't need that 2. Too many people. It is cool to say that I passed several thousand people at the start, but I probably could have made up 5 or so minutes in the first few miles if I could have run at my regular pace. The crowds were hard to get through. Walkers took up so much of the road that I spend too much time weaving back and forth. 3. It's too damm humid But, even tough I did not do as well as I hoped, in the end, I completed a 1/2 marathon and you know what, the medal I got looks just like the medal that the guy who finished first got!

  • Comments: I also volunteered at the Start of the marathon and that was a blast! Did you know those fire shooters run on alcohol? Did you know the championship guys set up the mat at 5am in about 3 mins? Did you know if you act like a monkey at the start line before anyone is there they will test you out on the jumbotron! And finally, the whole show is pre-run at 3am, so if you hear the countdown, see the fireworks, etc, don't panic!

  • Comments: This was my third half marathon. I took it really easy and still PR'd by 7 minutes so I was happy. I've come a long way since my first race 10 months ago, and it was satisfying to realize that. This was a really fun race.

  • Comments: Course is a bit boring in spots. Volunteers are excellent. Mileage markers are hidden in spots and easy to miss when you get into the theme parks. The early start is just that. Way too early!!!!

  • Comments: I have to say that this race was very very organized. I have only one complaint about anything. When I finished, they had run out of water at the food tent. This was an oversight, as I am sure there was plenty more, but none was at the tent to give out.

  • Comments: I learned a lot today, one thing was to avoid the porta potty that is rocking and don't wipe sweat out of your eyes after just applying biofreeze. The memory of the pain from my side and the cramps will eventually fade, but I will never forget how much Jessica did for me. We talked alot and had more laughs Thank you Jess, you offered to drag my lifeless body to the finish and I'm glad it didn't come to that.
