  • Comments: Only slightly late, about five minutes, while they waited for police authorities to get into position and clear the course. Otherwise another classic DAR operation.

  • Comments: So glad that this race didn't get cancelled and that I got an opportunity to race. Haven't really thought about racing in almost a year anyway. This makes me want to get signed up for some races now.

  • Overall course based on my ability: Too easy

  • Comments: I'd give this race a 5 were it not for the weirdness in my split times. Overall time agrees with Garmin, but official race times are way off on the swim and the bike. Shows 9:33 on the swim, which is absolutely impossible (Garmin shows 6:51, no way I missed my button pushes by that much). Originally assumed my swim included T1, as I had no T1 time when I first reviewed results. Now, a T1 time has been inserted, swim time remains unchanged, and my bike results have improved by over two minutes (which - as much as I fervently wish otherwise - is also absolutely impossible). All that said, DAR puts on awesome races that are just a ton of fun, with an overall atmosphere that is hard to beat. Looking forward to Texasman in a month.

  • Comments: The race was a good one. It was fun! There could have been more drink stations, and there could have been a better bike transition area. I did not like the pre-assigned transition spots.

  • Comments: Even with the weather event this is 1 of my favorite races. After racing through the Playtri races I really appreciate the DAR events. They are more organized. I felt informed every step of the weather delay. I will absolutely do every DAR race I can, TexasMan here I come!

  • Comments: the drink stations were perfectly placed so you ran through them twice at good intervals. not a fan of pool swims or this short of a swim. The bike route had a lot of turns to slow down for. I loved the run because it wasn't out and back or a loop but an interesting mix where you had all kinds of people to see. Wish they walked the course and cleared storm debris.

  • Comments: Nothing DA can do about the weather. I kind of like tough conditions. I guess I'm a mudder. After it was done, it was fun to look back on. Not something you will forget, that's for sure.

  • Comments: This is a fun event. Lining up in the gym before the swim was a huge improvement over last year. The new run course is nice and more difficult than last year. I'll participate again next year.

  • Comments: Kudos on fixing the swim situation. Much improved so shout out to the people who got this under control. This was going to be my last time doing this race if it didn't get fixed. I like the new run route. I'll be back again. Much improved from last year.

  • Comments: This was an excellent race event. It was very well organized: entry wait was short, start was on-time and fast, there were lots of volunteers on-course to help (and they were extremely friendly), and the course was great. Post-race was a lot of fun, with good access to food, water, and services which kept lots of folks hanging around for a good time. I'll definitely do this again (or other Dallas Athletes events).

  • Comments: The guys from Dallas Athletes Racing always put on a nice race. I think this venue for the swim is way too small. Doing it again next year and have already signed up for a few more races with DAR this year.

  • Comments: The line up before the swim was a cluster however they did have a line nazi making sure people weren't jumping in out of order. This had no impact on my sucky swim time regardless. Normally I would not have raced the week after a marathon but I had several friends participating, the first tri for three of them so I had no expectations of a great performance. My head obviously wasn't in the game as I forgot to get the bike electronics set up right and practice the multisport mode on my watch. Was happy with 1st AG finish but not happy finishing 2 min behind my rival/buddy who beat me by just 17 seconds at Galveston 70.3 three weeks ago.

  • Comments: Swim starts were out of order again. Race packet also said that bikes can't be taken out of transition until all bikes are off the course. While we were leaving to go to the car we almost hit a few people in transition that were still racing. If I was one of them I would have been mad.

  • Comments: I rate Organized as "No" purely for the Swim cluster. Ridiculous. I'm not sure when they are going to get it together in there. A good warmup race to start the season and set a baseline moving forward. Only a few miles from home so I'll probably keep doing this one each year unless the swim organization drives me away.

  • Comments: Swimming was a mess. After the first few hundred went in the pool. No one enforced the numbering system and it was a mess trying to pass all of the slow swimmers that jumped in the line. Poorly organized.
