  • Comments: I'll attribute the 11 minute PR to this race being wetsuit legal and very flat. I really enjoyed the scenery, running in palm shade along the beach at 75 degrees in December. Swag was cotton t-shirt, tech hat, finisher medal, and wristband for racer party with open bar at 8pm at Ricks. Guys and gals, do this race.

  • Comments: Nice race. Great location, nice resort. Could have been a little better organized at packet pick up by having all the numbers in a single envelope for each racer instead of having the volunteers dig through stacks of numbers,but my favorite race so far in the last three years of racing. I liked it being on Saturday, so we could make a fun weekend out of it instead of having to pack up and leave right after the race.

  • Comments: Overall fun race, with cool birds and scenery. Wind sucks. Somewhat disorganized in packet pickup, as well as on race day...start was chaotic, with some elites having to sprint to the starting line. Needs more people in the water, and more aid stations on the run. Bike course had stoppages, as well as a couple of tricky/scary spots. No referees on course that I saw.

  • Comments: For a 1st year race, a huge well-done goes to the directors. Great job! Kinks weren't visible to racers (or at least to me). I'll be back in 2011...running 9 minute miles next time around.
