  • Comments: Great local sprint, with a really awesome post race party. I have always enjoyed this race, even though I really prefer long-course racing. I will definitely race Louisiana Tri again, and again!

  • Comments: Louisiana Tri is a great locally produced sprint race in New Roads, LA. The only hitch I saw was that a number of the pint glasses they were giving out as finisher swag did not get delivered on time, and the later finishers needed to pick theirs up about a week post race. UPS sucks, not the RD's fault...despite the shortage of glasses, I think that this event probably has the best post race out there. Plenty of free beer and good food, plus this year the post race rolled right into a crawfish festival. Booyah!

  • Comments: Great race and great venue. I rate it a 4 only because post race they had no one watching bikes 2 miles away. My wife simply walked up and got my scott plasma while I was at awards. How do they know that is her bike? she wasn't a racer, nor did she have my number or anything. This was their only mishap.

  • Comments: Road suck on other side of river. Traffic was not stopped so had to slow down behind a truck once and almost stop at an intersection to allow traffic through

  • Comments: I like this race. It was the state championship which makes it pull some good athletes. I decided to do this race a few days before Saturday. The use of the wet suit made this doable for me mentally. Also, seeing many of my old tri buddies makes me realize that I need to get back into racing. The triathlete group of people are top notch and a very fun bunch. Despite not training for this race I still beat my last years time by 7 minutes. And that is a success if you ask me :)

  • Comments: This was a big race. It was the biggest turn out ever for this venue. I don't think I could have ran 10k today. MiM is going to provide plenty of challenge. I'm glad I didn't attempt anything longer yet. I was relying on that wet suit today a little to much. Not having it sucked. I need to get my ass back into the pool and start swimming my ass off. Despite weak performance in all events I don't consider this race a failure. I never stopped and kept a *decent* pace. I would have liked to make a stronger showing though. I am beginning to see a trend with myself though. I am not a "race-day" person. I do better in training and usually perform worse at races. Why? I haven't figured it out yet.
