  • Comments: This race has makings of a major world level race if they can improve on a few things. One is due to the low entry cost, a lot of people use this as a supported training race for the fall marathons like Chicago or NYC and a lot of people don't run the full distance. A lot of locals start halfway or even less so they can get the medal (which is a 6-year series). This was my 2nd Mexico City Marathon in a row (so I have the letters "I" and "C" now with "O" on tap for next year (all the medals in series spell "MEXICO")

  • Comments: This is a world class race with additional challenge of altitude. Entry fees are so cheap that it is tough for people to respect the race and people will register to run only 10K or even less! A lot of people join midway into the course to run a half or do a supported long run. Other than that, it is great with a nice Olympic stadium finish!
