  • Comments: The Philly Tri is an absolutely awesome event. Very well organized, beautiful scenery and the volunteers are all great. This was easily my favorite triathlon in 2008 and I'll be back in 2009... this time I'll be doing the Olympic distance.

  • Comments: This is a great race with great volunteers. I got to volunteer myself during check in and loved it! The course is great, although I would like to see the run for the sprint maybe a little more interesting. It's boring, but it is what it is. My only complaint is we were told we could remove our bikes and gear at 10:30. I was waiting from 10 to do this. By 10:50, people were lining up to get into transition to get their gear, and the ones inside were lined up waitign to get out. Why they wouldn't let you leave is beyond me. So I had to liberate The Beast cuz I wans't waiting any longer.

  • Comments: I loved this race and really enjoyed my experience. For my first race, it was a big one, and that was kind of overwhelming and also exciting. They had 10 waves and over 1000 people. I think at my first 5k there were 150 people there. I can't wait to start working on the swim and bike with renewed focus and effort. I really want to improve in this sport. I just started running a little more than a year ago, my first few times on a road bike (in December!!) were a disaster and I couldn't even bring myself to put both feet on the pedals (I'd just push myself a long with one foot.. yup it was that bad and I have a lovely video of it.) I am officially hooked and can't wait to race again.. whoo! I've come a long way from the comfort of team sports and consistent coaching to trying something new and on my own. I loved it.

  • Comments: I didn't do as well as I had expected, but this race was amazing. The expo was huge and the race director really knew what he was doing. The volunteers were incredible and I tried to thank as many as I could. It's worth a trip for any east coasters looking for a race next spring!

  • Comments: It was really fun, and although I almost quit 10 times during the swim, the bike made up for it. It made me rethink my decision not to do anymore - maybe I'd do this one again, next year. I'd like to do it better, since I know I could if I got better at swimming (especially if I got a better bike, but that's money I don't know if I want to spend). I said going in that my dream time was 2:30 (30/1:30/30), my goal was 2:45 and my definite limit was 3:00, so by those standards it rocked, especially since I wasn't counting transitions.
