• Description: The Great Island Mini Adventure Tri (GIMAT) will be taking place on Friday, June 26 starting at 6:30pm. The race will consist of a 1k downstream kayak, 8k bike and 2k run.
  
  Tailored specifically for beginning adventure triathletes, this short race was well received in its inaugural year (2014) and should be even more fun this year. Kayakers start upstream 1k above the transition area. The bike leg is a flat 8k out and back course. The 2k run takes participants over Jay Street bridge, up to the levee and then back to the finish line.
