  Deer lake has historically been 80 plus, this is an in the water start due to the shallow waters. A simple rectangle course, down, across 25m and back. You have about a 600m run up to the transition area from the swim, you may bring your shoes down to the swim for the run up to the transition area.
  
  The bike is a 2 loop out and back course and the main reason there is a cap on this event of 350. It is a fast, smooth bike course that is lined with local residents much of the way.
