Got up to do my MMA speed....to find that Beachbody on demand site is down right now.  Hmmmm., while it isn't the same moves I could probably do Hammer Plyo to get my sweat on.  Opted for Insanity Sweat fest, wouldn't have to put stuff away. after.
I had the afternoon off from work, the 4 hours PTO from hell week blitz. I went to Kohl's and got a cute bag and matching wallet. Found a bag for Thing Ones upcoming birthday. Picked up some things at Pet Co. Stopled in at Target but nothing really wowed me there. Plus there were all sorts of screaming kids and I wasn't in the mood for that. Gtt sushi for dinner and went grocery shopping. 
I think tomorrow I might get a mani & pedi

Waiting at the freakin' car dealer to get my freakin' recalled air bags replaced.  I received a first recall notice a while back but it also said something like "don't call us because we don't have parts." I recently received a second recall notice and I made the appointment.  When I called they said it would take 30 minutes.  When I checked in, they said 60-90 minutes.  I am not well over 90 minutes and really not very happy about it at all!

Sunny at 60 degrees already this morning! Heading up to 70 this afternoon. I'm heading back into the woods for a couple of hours. I would rather work a rainy day after April 1st than sit inside all day during a sunny day (like today!) Jaw is fine - a little sore, but barely noticeable. I need to remember how dangerous it can be running the brush mower. I've pinned myself between the mower and a tree while going in reverse more than once and it's not fun.

I watched a video yesterday that said ulcerative colitis - which is inflammation in the colon - can also cause inflammation and pain in hips and knees. I think my hips and knees are screwed on more than one issue. I've not been kind to them over the years. I will get into some restorative yoga later this spring. It does make things move better. Sometimes I feel like a tinman. If I could just get those joints oiled well, they would move so much better!

It's my birthday. I woke up with a headache and a headache on your birthday seems worse than a headache on a regular day so I was pretty cranky to start. I didn't want to do the usual stuff like nagging the kids to get up, get ready for school etc. I got to work and all the 2nd graders started wishing me happy birthday and gave me cards. I went into the teacher lounge and the whole counter was filled with food for me and another co worker who was also having a birthday. It was very sweet and really brightened my day. My husband bought me a brand new Garmin 920xt and some chocolate bars. My kids were in better moods thank goodness. 
After school I took Mia to the trail then picked a bunch of daffodils. DH cooked steak and scallops, baked potatoes and spinach. it was a very nice day especially considering how rotten I felt to start out with!
One funny, a little girl at school said to me "I told my Dad how old you are. He said HOLY COW! I didn't know she was THAT old!" ha ha ha[...]

It's looking like it's gonna be a 1:00 bike today on the trainer. Gag. I've had enough of the trainer. The weather here is .
11:35 AM: EXCEPT WHEN IT'S NOT! Gorgeous day! Warm! Sunny! A little windy but BEAUTIFUL. Snuck out for an early AM bike ride on the CX bike. Chris is taking my CX wheels to his race this weekend, so I had to ride early before he left! My first time out this year! It's so NICE to be OUTSIDE! 
The moral of the story is this: In Illinois from late February to mid May, you should have ALL OF YOUR WORKOUT clothes at the ready, if you intend to train outside. You'll need the fleece, the tights, the little sleeveless tops, the vests, the jackets, the shorts, the arm warmers, the arm coolers, the heavy hats, the sun visors and everything else in your arsenal. Anything can happen and usually does.  Bike 1:00  Long Run (1:45) Long Bike 2 hours (Please not on the trainer) Longer swim Saturday AM?

Rest day - normally today would be XT but with a "5k race" tomorrow they had yesterday easy/rest and today total rest. Hopefully the weather holds out long enough for us to run. Good news is I might not have to take my kids to soccer afterwards. Is that bad? lol

Lunch plans today with my two former co-workers (Erica and Monica - not my workout buddy Monica).

The owner of the condo my boyfriend and I rent called earlier this week and said a new stove/oven will be delivered today. One of the burners on the stove recently stopped working. He was going to give me an update on the delivery time, but I have not yet heard back from him.

The owner called and said the delivery would be around noon and he would be here to ensure it was properly installed. Excellent! I came home after lunch and the new oven had been installed. :-)

Today we closed on our first home. The sad news is that we do not get the keys until next week. That is frustrating since there is so much to be done between now and then. We have to buy a new Fridge, we are considering a new oven. We need a new water heater.

When all is said and done, the stress levels are crazy high, but I am hopeful that everything will be okay.

The workout today was better. I was able to keep up with others with some difficulty. In the middle of doing 75 burpees (hellish), I had to go because it was time to pick up my son from school. The good news is that programming is going back to a different guy, and this guy is better about not overworking the muscles and giving some better time for recovery. Therefore, I am hoping that things might improve.

So it has been a rough year or so on the training front. No consistency, less mojo. Add in some oddball health challenges and it all makes me kinda bummed. I wish I could get to the bottom of it all. Listed out: DNS in first race ever, undertrained and less willing than ever. - June 2016 Sprained ankle. Another sprained ankle. Multiple bouts of cold and/or flu. malaise/lethargic feeling  Motivation at an all time low. Time constraints All culminated in this week's flu and bloody nose incident.
I'm not sure what the answer is, at this point I just want to have the health and energy to get through a day without taking some sort of medication.
