Today's burnout is an 8 minute bear hold before & after. I tried, got to 1 minute before & my quads were cramping big time. I felt lightheaded and foggy throughout the last section of the video and decided the other burnout was not a good idea.
Snowing again, coming down pretty good. Miss Thing likely has strep & her BFF at the least sprained her ankle taking trash out....and they are afraid to go to the clinic just off campus because the roads are so bad. Sigh....
I posted a question to the instructor last night & her response was not clarifying to me at all. I am SO confused in this class.  I despise it. I booked an on line tutor for tomorrow evening.  I'm terrified that I won't understand the "basics" before we move into the more complicated stuff.

I have decided that "adulting" (for lack of a better word) is exhausting. My day was full of random uncomfortable confrontations with people, and while I can diplomatically respond to those all day, it just sucks my energy out like nothing else...
I had a gal on my team post a super snarky comment on our Facebook page about kit prices ("Are these for REAL? It looks like an upcharge!") and had to diplomatically shut her down before she got everyone else freaked out about kit prices. Easy to respond since a) we DON'T actually upcharge our kits at all and b) they cost the same as every other team kit in the Denver area. But having to deal with the attitude, and having to be nice but firm to a new member who we really do enjoy having on the team? UGH. What does she think, we're all getting rich on kit sales or something? Sigh. Between the team store being open and planning our Moab trip, I'm on overload with high maintenance people.

Thinking of quitting BT. Not really doing any triathlons but like adding my workouts. Plus I have hardly any friends on here and everyone has cooler blog entries than mine or they about co-workers. Plus you don't really want to know how depressing my life is. Have to find a better workout planner site.

I want to do so much more.

Not having luck with workouts this week. I’m ditching the reading glasses again and if I am still getting headaches I’ll call the dr. Carson came home sick and it’s freezong out so walking can wait a day.

Legs felt great today! I was feeling strong...until I looked over and the guy next to me was doing 1,360 for full ROM and reps in the 7-10 range. WTF?!?!

Overall, felt good. Getting stronger.

PT wanted me to incorporate some movements into my regular training. The 7pt DB Shoulder Rehab work includes 10 reps each of the following in one set:
- Neutral Grip Front Raises
- Neutral Grip Front Raises (arms out at 45*)
- Neutral Grip Side Raises
- Rear Flys
- Straight Arm Kickbacks
- X Front Raises (start with arms crossed at waist and end in a bicep pose position)

Booked my flights to New Hampshire for my annual ski trip with college friends.  This is the first year that everybody is coupled up except for me, which I don't mind, except we're staying at my friend's parents' condo (vs finding a vacation house on our own) and there are only 3 bedrooms plus couch... and as the only single, the couch has my name all over it.  Bleh.. singles tax.  There is a possibility my one other [single] friend may end up going, but even then it's probably couch + air mattress for us.  I could book a hotel room for myself, but it wouldn't be fun staying away from the group.

Another night of sleep for both Chris and I. Chris has been feeling crummy all week - I attributed it to 80-90s and sun in Hawaii; 30-40(so far) and cloudy in Alaska. But I think he is coming down with something. Matthew is with us this week and has been coming home but has had his girlfriend over until about midnight each night and we hear it when she leaves. Not conducive to good sleep. Neither of us got up with the alarm (ok I did to feed the dogs and try to sleep again) and tonight we have plans to go to a Craft Beer/Cheese tasting at 6 right after work. Will see how the day goes about getting to the gym.

This week has gone down the crapper. I had such a good streak going.

It is FREEZING cold here in Texas.... my car read 7 on the way to work, and that's the real temp, not with the wind chill.  We had a snow day yesterday due to the weather forecast showing rain turning to freezing rain, then sleet, then snow.  Huge bust, we had nothing....  I was happy enough to be home and warm. 
Feeling another cold coming on, starting with the deep chest cough so going swimming and then coming out into the frigid temps did not sound very smart or appealing.  Same for tomorrow, gonna wait till Friday and hope to get in a run/walk if it's a bit warmer.
