Starting the Half distance training after the Go! St. Louis Marathon.  I'm looking forward to some time on the new bike and doing some hill training to prep for Branson.

What are you going to do to prep for the Ozark hills?

Luckily I live here in the Ozarks so hills are a given, and I get to train on the actual bike course occasionally. Lake is looking fantastic and I've already done one OWS in about 60 degree water. Looking forward to Rev3 coming in. I've heard a lot of good things about them.

I did this race twice when it was IM Branson, and it had one of the toughest bike courses ever. Looking back, it was a lot of fun, but at the time, I hated the bike!!!!

Good luck to everyone!

1. Planning to. It's been wetsuit legal in the past (under Mdot), and if it is again, use one.

2. Basically ride lots, ride hard. You can get fit for hills anywhere. For practice on what hills feel like, ride on them when you can. How far are you from anything hilly? Might be worth driving a few hours, even a small overnight, once or twice for some practice.

3. Yes. It's their first year here, so things might not always go perfectly, but they roll well with stuff that has come up in other places.
