Did it last year, fun race, really well organized. A nagging groin injury has me considering the sprint.

I have done this race 5 or 6 times.  Its super fun. IM feel at an Oly.  Lots of big names in the sport and its considered one of the season openers.  Usually 5000+ athletes with waves going off for 2+ hours in the am.  Its very well done.  They have changed the swim since the last time I raced St. A.  Bike is flat and fast but has a lot of turns in it.  Also there is a section where you ride thru a golf course and there are speed humps, be careful there.  The run can be toasty esp for those of us who will be in the later waves.  Its typically wet suit legal.  There is a bottle exchange on the bike and plenty of aide stations on the run.  Can't think of anything else

Did St. A's for the first time last weekend. Had a great time!! Lots of participants, hug fan support, well run, great volunteers, on time starts .... great vibe all the way around. I'll be doing it again next year for sure.

The triathletes really inspired me. I watched them in awe as childlike thoughts went through my head like, "I want to do that!" But then reality set in. “Who are you kidding?

I was not an official; I simply observed the race and the officials doing their thing. Here is what I saw:

I’ve signed up to do the St. Anthony’s Olympic Triathlon in April. I will be 49 in May and need some advice on a good training program to fit into my full time work schedule.
