I'm a "partial".  I'll come up for the long ride but can't spend the night.

Hey all,

Sorry for the late response, but I'd love to join you for the bike ride on Saturday.  Looks like you're planning for Fireman's Park (Verona) at 7am.  See you then!

Considering what you guys did, you conquered something!

Yes, the elements were NOT kind to us.

Warm (87 degrees F AND humid).  Windy - nothing like 15 to 25 mph winds blasting you all day long to make you tougher (add those hills for insurance).

Sorry I couldn't Mutri to the dinner, but with Tornado warnings happening, we weren't taking chances to get there.

A pretty good turnout for the day, Jim!  The swim in the water at the end was refreshing.

Hey folks--

Sorry, but the weather has spoiled my plans to join you tomorrow morning and tape more of the IMMOO camp. I tried to get downtown tonight to pick up my camera, four-wheeling through extended sections of roads with water over my tires, only to find the highway at a standstill. I just backed off the on-ramp and turned around. I have to imagine the roads and paths around Madison will be similarly bad shape tomorrow. I'd love to be there to capture the fun, but it's just not practical due to Mother Nature. I hope somehow you're still able to get in a good run tomorrow without me!

Rich, no problem.  Tornadoes have been dancing all around us but we stayed fairly dry.  You have already done a lot for the camp as it is.  Look forward to seeing your vids.

I guess this is where I officially say (in addition to the personal one after the interview):

THANK YOU JIM FOR TAKING THE TIME TO COORDINATE THIS!

Thanks to all the BT'ers that showed up, participated or jockstrapped.  It was great meeting everyone!

Thanks to all who helped put this together - I had a blast!  I would definitely be interested in doing something like this again - especially the bike ride, which is hard to do without a group.  If you're training around the Milwaukee area, let me know.  I'm always looking for new routes, and I'd like to get some open-water swims under my belt this summer.

 Thanks again,

-P

I would have loved to make it out today, but when the alarm went off, I could barely move I was so sore. Sounds like everyone had a good time despite the weather.

Great fun and I enjoyed putting a face with an avatar to those I met.  Sorry I couldn't make the swim Friday...it sounded like good fun "Lake Michigan" style and too bad I couldn't stick around for dinner, it would have been fun to visit with everyone without yelling over the wind while on a bike.

The day went well but my chain broke...I hate when that happens. I tried to fix it with my chain tool, but the chain was too shot.  Thanks to Phil impeccable timing, I didn't have to walk 8 miles to the parking lot.

the BOOM, not sure where you're from, but if you're near/around the chicago area (I live 30 min southeast of Rockford) I can add you to our local weekly long ride email list...approx 50 of us are on it right now.

If not, I'll be back up on the course quite a few more times before IMWI.

I can't believe you guys all made it out this weekend! TERRIBLE - possibly dangerous - weather kept most of my training indoors this weekend.

Kudos to each of you.
