Subject: First Carbon Momoxide now a fire
For all those who read last week about the stove and carbon momoxide, the new one arrives this afternoon. Thank god. I only hope they can pull everything out and put it in, otherwise I have to wait till 4 Dec when the people installing the microwave can pull that out.

Now for the further drama for the week. Last night my husband and I were bathing the kids, I went to turn the ceiling an off and all of a sudden smoke starting to pour out of the ceiling fan. I yelled for hubby who turned it off and the smoke stopped but left the bedroom smelling horrible. After inspecting it, my husband said the motor caught on fire!

Ok, is He trying to tell me something? I mean, I want to move. I want to change so much in this house that is non-functional... but really gassing us then a fire and continued torenchal rains today... He's defiantely not being coy.

Fortunately we have an electrician coming tomorrow to install outlets we need for the microwave, I'll just add repairs to the heating unit that is improperly wired and installing a new ceiling fan. Can anything else go wrong before Thanksgiving!?

But, I will still work out!!!

Wow that is some bad luck, Keep your head up. At least no one was hurt in the fire sine you caught it right away.

Sounds like a good reason to eat out for Turkey Day!!!

Ty Andrew, what a girl could do.... oh the possibilities.

Yes, Derrick and Cesar AND kids get an apartment... Mary (aka bootygirl) and Lara may join me - we'll sit on the porch drink margarita's and watch the boys work.... the possibilities!

Why couldn't I have dreamt of them instead of falling tiles from the shower... no wonder i was walking Cromwell at 5am

wow. sorry to hear of the house troubles. i fled my house on friday after it had filled with smoke. no fire, but long story short: baking pumpkin pie, pie spills a bit in oven, oven smokes, fire alarms go off, kids freak out, husband comes home for lunch. i clean out oven, remove pies, one pie slips out of pie tin (was baking it for a friend, so it was a disposable pie tin), slides into oven, between door and oven, into drawer, all over cookie sheets, broiler pan, etc. heads back to work. turn on self-clean. 20 mins later, house fills with smoke again. decide to leave. came back at 5 and all was fine.

ack - here I talked about a plague of locust and I get hit!

maybe not locusts but weevils (or something) attacked my grains and dried legumes!

I keep them all in my turkey roaster, which I pulled out and Ack! Hardest hit was the bulgur wheat!
