So I et out of bed, and wham! I fall to the floor- KNEE TROUBLE.
It has happened before. I just stay off of it.

Help though- it is sucking out the motivation to run- which I need to improve on in the next twomonths for job purposes.

Advice?  Well, swim.  Too obvious.  RICE. You know that too.

Maybe a little advice about running may help once the knee is better.

1) Listen to your feet.  You should not hear anything.  I mean that your feet should strike the road so gently that they make almost no sound.  When you can hear the feet pounding the pavement, your knees are taking a beating.

2)Run with about 80 strides a minute.  Shorter, quicker, gentler strides prevent overstriding and landing too hard.

3)Back it down a notch.  Go shorter distance or slower or both.  Drop back to a stress level that your knee can tolerate.  Build back up on speed or distance once your body is fully adapted to that stress level.

Now, you can tell us the truth. You were out on a bender with your buddies and you're looking for an excuse to get out of your workout...right? j/k

Seriously though. I agree with the advice above. A runner of mine said almost the exact thing to me when I described my problems with running and the pain afterwards.

Baby steps. Your body wll love you for it.
