Hi all! I am coming down to SLC from ID and am looking to try on some wetsuits since I have no stores within 150 miles from me. Can anyone recommend a tri shop or two that I can go and try them on? I sure appreciate any help. Thanks and have a great tri season!

I'm not exactly an expert, but I was at Salt Lake Running and Multisport the other day and they had a variety of tri-specific wetsuits. I was at the one in Draper (about 13400 South and 1300 East by Albertsons), but I believe there is another store somewhere in the Salt Lake Valley.

Maybe you could browse around www.desert-sharks.com (a local tri club) and they might point you in the right direction as well.

Good luck!

It may be worth a few minutes to check out REI.  I know they carry Zoot, but not 100% sure what they have in store.   They are just east of 1-15 at 10600 S.   You'll drive right by it on your way to and from Orem anyway.

I also saw a few Tri wetsuits at infinitecycles (.com) in riverton.   I'd email first to check stock though, cause it was like maybe 5 suits.

Also, Wasatch Running, on 9000 south and State street (just East of I-15) has more stuff than the Draper SLRunning Co., and I know there's a selection at Pool and Patio, up in Holladay (3900 south, I think...). I know that both stores have a good relationship with the Desert Sharks club, and There's at least one ironman triathlete employed at pool and patio. Good luck!

Was actually in SBR yesterday... they had a few suits said more would be in by end of next week he thought.... getting there... their website got me lost... here's how you really do it... exit 800 north (if you get to center st exit, you're too far south)  go to state st and turn right, it's about two or three lights (turn right at K-mart, website had that right) and it's immediately on left side.

Infinite must have just gotten suits in (but I haven't been in a week or two),
here's their # 801-523-8268... (they're great to deal with)

I've enjoyed my dealings with the guys at Wasatch Running (9000 S and State)

GOOD LUCK!!!

I was just at Infinite yesterday -- took my new Javelin Garda in and it was missing a part (not shipped) -- DOH!!! Geauxtri, they said someone bought one and had the frame crack...was that you? I read about your troubles on the Javelin thread and thought that was coincidental.

I'm going to head to SBR soon, so thanks for the good directions.

Until then, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my MIA cassette lockring shows up SOON!!!

YeeeEP!!!  That's me... how funny... well, not really, but you know...
Those guys at infinite are really going to know those bikes... you're at least the 4th Javelin that they've assembled and I've got a co-worker sending another.

It wasn't so much the frame itself as the little piece that's welded on for the front derailler.  Never-the-less I should have a new frame by Friday or Saturday.  The guys at Javelin have been good to work with.

Perhaps I'll see you around once Infinite starts doing their group rides.

Yeah, that'd be great. I'm very, very green (and slow) so I'll try to keep up with the group for a mile or so! I've never really been on a road bike. I've been hammering away on the stationary bike (just did almost 16 miles -- OUCH!), so I really need to get out on the road and get some saddle time. My first tri is on May 31....scary!

See ya around!

Wow, you sound just like me! I took my new javelin to the guys at infinite, and I am as green as your are on the whole biking scene. And, my first tri is the desert sharks tri, too, to boot.

That's funny that we're on the same path. I guess this means I better put a pink star as my avatar! Just kidding. How's your training? Are you doing a specific program or just winging it?

Oh yeah, and which bike did you get from Javelin? I'm bummed out. My first bike ride with my new Garda was supposed to be tomorrow -- now I'm still waiting for that blasted part. Yes, I'm bitter. And, sorry, but I'm praying for rain or snow until my bike's ready to make me feel better ... haha. I'm getting tired of riding the stationary bike

If it's been more than a week, I'd call the guys at javelin. Something must have happened. And no, you can't have my oink star. It's mine, ALL mine!!! LOL.
