Anyone going to be in Kelowna this year? I am doing the sprint for my first triathlon. I'm scared and excited! I'd love to hear from some of your experienced people out there.

yeah, they'll both be at the same time it looks like. Not sure how they'll do that.

The oly and sprint start in waves from 7:15am on Sunday, Aug. 17th. The Elites are later in the morning, around 11am I think. I'm trying to guess who they'd start first - sprint or oly - the course is pretty much the same but there are more laps. Either way, I'll guess I'll have [eople swimming over me...

My Daughter wants me to come to Langley and do a tri there with her the same weekend so at this point I'm not sure which one I'll do.

Did the olympic distance last year. We got the only crappy day in August (15 degrees and raining!) and yet I still enjoyed myself, frozen toes and all. Best part was the closed course... no cars to worry about.

Oh I remember that well. I felt so sorry for the athletes. Quite a few went down on the bike too.
