Anyone in?

I'm using this as a warm-up/practice race for my first OLY in August (Accenture in Chicago). I finally for clips for the bike so I'm interested to see how I do in race conditions in them

Plus....it's 3 miles from the house.

I'm doing it. I'm in Plano so it's not far from the house plus I just have plans on racing lots this year. Racing is more fun than just training.

I may do it. The wife is giving me crap right now about my Tri obsession. I have only done one Oly this year and that was back in March. She's I thought I was being low key this year!

Only 1 and you're getting grief? This will be my 7th this year and I've got 6-8 more planned after it. Good thing about sprint's and Oly's is they don't take as much time training and they don't take all day to race. You're done and home in time for lunch.

Just tell her if you don't get to race often you'll have to start making your once a year race an Ironman and you might end up spending way more time away from home training and spend more money on one race than you would on a bunch of small ones all in the metroplex.

Disclaimer: I don't recommend actually doing the above as we all know racing sprints and Oly's is where the real fun is at and I don't want you getting in more trouble with the misses.

We recently fundraised with LLS and she did the Lonestar Sprint. I thought for sure she would understand my passion(make that obsession) for this sport. She decided that she love to swim, likes to ride occasionally, and absolutely hates running. She has also decided that she hates when my alarm clock goes off at 5am.

Buddy just tried to register and was told that it was sold out.....they limited it to 400. I didn't think that this would sell out. I've never raced with that many people in a tri. Should be fun.

Hope to see some of y'all out there. I'll be the slow guy on the Wal-Mart Schwinn with clip pedals and shoes that cost as much as the bike.
