Regular 90 Palatka, Florida | Subject: RE: Team Skinny - Back to School (Sept 08) Ok here is my goal for the month. I hope to lose 15 pounds. Does that sound reasonable? That would take me from 268.5 to 253.5. I have started my running protion of my couch to 5k program. I know that it is going to be a lot of hard work but I really do think it is posible. I know that I hard work is paying off since my wife said that she had even noticed a change in my body already, and it has only been a month. Good luck to everyone this month and keep up that great work!! Peace, Chris |

Master 2005 Silverton, Oregon | Subject: RE: Team Skinny - Back to School (Sept 08) Hi all! My goal for this month is 118. I'm doing pretty good sticking with the plan, but this week is going to be tough since I'm tapering for my first Oly Saturday. For some reason the less I exercise the more I want to eat, think it's a boredom problem. Can I join the nervous about a first group Enders and Comet? Are you wearing a wetsuit for your tri, comet? If you are it's pretty hard to sink in one, just try diving while in the wetsuit, nearly impossible. That buoyancy always makes me feel a little better anyway Also remember you can always hold on to a kayak for a bit if you need to. Best wishes to both of you this weekend and can't wait to read the race reports!! AbbieR finished her first IM on Sunday. Way to go Abbie!!! Team skinny rocks!!!!! |

Around the end of June (20 something) 2008, I decided to start losing weight...by diet and exercise. Was 235 when I started. Yesterday I weighed in at right about 208. My goal for September will be to go below 200 (maybe even 195). |

Extreme Veteran 642 Chicagoland | Subject: RE: Team Skinny - Back to School (Sept 08) I'm in, but I haven't done a very good job of meeting goals lately. Partially due to some knee pain. I thought it was due to some bad alignment but I went to the chiropractor, he put it back in line but it still hurt as of my walk yesterday. I didn't even attempt to run. I suppose I need to go to my MD to get it checked out since I've got two races coming up. On the good news front, over the weekend I headed into Old Navy to see how close I was to fitting into their stuff. Button down shirts are still snug, but the knit shirts mostly fit. The pants, however, FIT!! I bought a pair and now that I'm wearing them today, they actually seem a little loose. This is the first store with the non-big girl sizes I have been able to shop in and have things fit. So, I guess I have three goals this month: **Weight goal: 212 **Clothes goal: to not have the Old Navy shirts be snug...although I think it's going to take longer than a month **Mojo goal: find it and put it into practice! |

Veteran 1773 Dayton, OH | Subject: RE: Team Skinny - Back to School (Sept 08) September goals: 1. Not freak out with the school stuff! 2. Find time to train, daily. 3. Get the eating back to normal (no junk, includes alcohol). 4. Get back to adding some bricks in that training, and implement some water time too. 5. Weight goal is 185. Probably won't have time to weigh-in tomorrow, so saling please use this as the official... This morning at 189.2, . At least it gives me a good spring board to go from... I know I have to work extra hard, as I had a break, and I need to throw out more than a fair share of bad habits. Good luck to everyone else in your monthly goals. |

After looking at it that is a very lofty goal to set. So I am going to scale back some I am going to shoot for 8 pounds. That would take me from 268.5 to 260.5. Peace, Chris |
