tap, ballet and hip hop This whole tri thing is to help me tone up and feel better in a leotard. You have no idea how embarressing it is to be in one with like 50 parents staring at you as you teach there kids. While knowing you are just not in shape as a form of athletic teacher should be. Plus i love to bike and this gives me a good goal.

Hey there and welcome! What part of NY are you from? I live in Westchester county, so I'm more than a tad curious, as NY is a big state.

Hi LOL,

Welcome to BT! I'm from Spain so I can't be helpful to recommend any race in NY, but here you'll find a lot of people who could help you better. Anyway, as you'll know, in November you can run the NYC Marathon. I've applied for the lottery. Let's see if I'm lucky! I don't think you'll have any trouble to get ready for it. If so, I could give you some training plan. My record is under 3h15m.

Train hard for your first tri, but above all, have fun!
