Fall is here and there are still plenty of Triathlons to be had. Many of us are done with our Tri Season and have switched to our "Off Season" which might include some interesting races.

For the good of the group, please share your race plans for this weekend with us and maybe a bit about your race and your goals.

ME!!!! My first half marathon on Saturday.  Hartford Half.  I'm a bit nervous and my training fell off the past two weeks.  But, I'm as ready as I will be!  Looking forward to the experience!  I had wanted to finish in 2:30, now I just want to finish!

I've got a Dash-N-Splash on Friday evening. 2 mile run, 150 yd swim. My first race in a long time. I got my wife to enter with me. She has never entered any type of race. I'll likely just run with her to help encourage her. She has been real excited to successfully run 2 miles. I also got her to commit to a 5K in November. We'll see where it leads!!

Me me me!!!! I am racing the Hickory Knob International Tri. 1500m swim, 28 mile bike, 10K run. I am so excited because I haven't raced since June due to injury. Want to do it in under 3 hours, but anything is fine. It just feels good to be able to race again

I'm in for cyclocross both Saturday and Sunday. Rumor is that Lance Armstrong is coming to compete but that's a rumor. This is the big cross race weekend in NE. There are over 1000 folks racing each day. My women's race will have over 60 women racing each day which 3-4 years ago would only happen at Nationals.

I'm in the same cross race as Kathy (that is if I can get my GD cantilever brakes adjusted to my race wheels!). Cat 4 is at 9:00AM. I'm only racing Sunday though.

I'm nervous. I'm going to get hammered out there...

I'm running the Spokane Marathon on Sunday.

Most of the proceeds go to the local high school cross country teams.  They run all of the aid stations and at the end of the race you vote on who had the best station.  More votes = more $$.

My goal is to start.  I had a bad patch of training this spring/summer and signed up for this race as a way of training my way out of a funk.  As long as I start then I've met my goal, after that the rest of the race is a bonus.

Doing the PBR Off-Road Tri down in Tempe, AZ.  It'll be my first off-road event (outside of a mtn bike "race" and my first tri since surgery in May!

Yummy Tempe Town Lake!

My goal is just finish.  The mtn bike skills aren't quite there, so just going out for some fun, the slip'n'slide finish line and some PBR!

Whistlestop marathon.  'Experimental' run.  Hope to figure out the whole race nutrition mystery.

Pretty wide goal.  I'll take a 4:20, but I'll shoot for 3:50 if things are working in my favor.

Me ... first tri!  Arrowhead Day At the Beach in Hermosa - 400m/10 mile/5k.

Goal is to finish.  Swim and bike will be no problem, and I might actually be competitive in those areas.  Running is another story   If I can run at a 10 minute/mile pace, I'll consider that a victory!

Baltimore Marathon (Rd. 5, so far I'm 3-1 for finishes).

Goal?

Hmmmmmm, either just run to finish or do something stupid like run too fast in the beginning and suffer for another BQ.  Still not sure which one yet ........

Screw lack of training!  So what if I've only run 12 miles for a long run a few different times in the last few months!  LSD runs are overrated!

Tongue outWink

I am running the Long Beach Marathon this Sunday.

This is my 3rd year running this race and doing it as a "Tuneup" for my fall marathon season.

No goals except to run and finish strong and remind the body what it is like to do the 26.2 and "Don't Die"!!!

Oooh ooh, me.  Second tri to finish my goal of getting in two in my first year.  Doing the Hermosa Day at the Beach after a trip to Vegas for my sister's wedding.  That said, I hope to finish well behind Morgan (Poster Nutbag) smiling all the way!

Steamtown Marathon for me on Sunday. I figured I could either run a 20 miler all by myself for my long run before B2B or I can go 26.2 with 2000 other peeps. I'll take the company!
