Event warmup:

Small jog around the parking lot just to loosen up. Did a little bit of stretching while waiting for the gun.

Comments:

Very uneventful run. Didn't get caught up in too much congestion at the start. Used my footpod to stay at about a 7:15 pace which would allow me to break 45:00. Was fizzling at the end, but someone who looked to be in my age group really picked it up here. Used that as my extra motivation. Couldn't hold him off, but finished in 44:42 which is a new PR by 30 seconds.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing, set a PR in this race. Not sure I could have run it much better.

Warm down:

Walked around for a bit. They served hot dogs as one of there post race foods. Decided to give it a go--first and last time I do that, did not agree with the stomach.

Event comments:

Well run race. Lot's of friendly volunteers.

mmmm, hot dogs.  Yeah, something about giving 120% effort makes one lose their appitite for reconstituted meat.

 Regardless, congrats on the race.
