Has anyone had this problem - do you have any ideas about how to solve it?
I have gone to 2 sports med/physical therapy places, and done astym and more traditional PT and stretching.
I had a cortisone shot in my right knee, which helped but didn't solve the problem.
I tried rest too - several months off of running.
It hurts when running long distances - esp. hills, spinning (esp. on the pull).

Thank you for any advice!

did you ever find out anything about this?  I have the same issue, but my thigh and groin area are also sore.  I have a feeling it has something to do with that first - I could be compensating for the groin pull while running.  It;s really weird as I have never had anything like it before.

I have pain in the back of my knee plus a lot of swelling there.  I was diagnosed with a torn meniscus.

Have they done MRIs or x rays or anything?
