Here is the official Active.com link.

This should be the official Hog Pen roll call link.

Considering doing this or the Aviation 1/2 mary in Warner Robbins.  It will be a race day decision if I do either one since they are the day after SWAT tryouts and I don't know physically what I will have left after a day of hell.

I really wanted to do this one, but I doubt I'll be able to.

Anyone ever done the Piglet 5k that goes on when the 17k is running?

I might do the 17k if my son would run the 5k.

My wife and I are going up- just registered! I'm doing the 17k and she's doing the 5k. I'm hoping we can run up the mountain this year. Last year we only ran 1/3 of the way up (and back to Helen) b/c of the ice on the roads. Running down was much harder on the body than going up. We are taking a bus up to Helen, so if you see us stop by and have a beer!

We will be going for sure now since the weather forecast still showing no rain or snow on the 17th.

I looked on the elevation map most of the gain is in the last 4 miles...that means the first 6 miles must be easy.

That's will be great if we go to the top!!! I've done the race 5 times and only once have we finished at the top- the only year there wasn't ice on the road leading up the 'hill'. I remember that year we went to the top- I wasn't able to run the entire way- several spots I was hunched over, pushing off my knees b/c it was so steep....

I love how the advertisement says the first six are easy.. your red font agrees with my assessment.

Have a great race. I am sad that I am not doing it this year.. the plans fell apart.  I ran to the top in 2007 and half way up in 2008. You should be going to the top this year.
