Subject: Running Trail in Willimantic
For those who like to run but hate traffic, there is a newer running trail in Willimantic. It starts at the Veteran's Memorial on the corner of Jackson and Union Street. There is atleast 20-30 parking spots here. The trail follows old train tracks (no more rails and such) and heads North east. It crosses route 66 near the Rt 6 Junction, and then continues for over 7 miles. I have yet to run it yet but cant wait to do so!!!

I believe that trail also connects to the Vernon rails to trails system which is a great place to run and it's so easy on the knees. I trained for the Chicago Marathon on those trails.
