I think that you have gotten some good advise on this post.  I'm concerned that your not consuming enough calories and that your eating the same thing everyday.  Its definetely a lifestyle, so experiment a little, consume more for a month and vary your training, you might be surprised at the results.  Your body and mind will find a balance that not only accomplishes the weight loss, but also helps your physical fittness.  You definetely have the determination, put it to good use.

Are you taking any vitamins. As you go on with training your really going to start needing vitamins to get the most outta what you eat. Try Centrum Performance.

Yeah...that's what I meant...had the 2500 in my head from reading the post.  IMHO 5lbs/week is an unhealthy rate of weight loss if it goes on longer than a couple weeks.  I'm no doctor so maybe it's okay for someone with a lot of extra weight to lose.  As some others have suggested...a nutritionist will be able to establish a healthy diet that will allow you to continue to make progress with your weight loss but should be much more appropriate for your active training lifestyle.

[

It's actually 3500 calories to a pound. To lose a pound a week is 3500 divided by 7 days which is 500 calories a day. OldAg was losing 5 pounds a week, so multiply 500 calorie a day deficit by 5 and that's where the 2500 came from. I was just illustrating a point about how much of a significant calorie restriction he would continue to require to continue losing weight at that rate. Just basic math.

To answer the last two posts, yes, I am taking a good multivitamin twice a day, along with chromium, CLA, HCA and digestive enzymes.  My doctor did say that sustaining a 5 pound per week loss is not only unrealistic, but unhealthy, but that it was ok for the first several weeks because I had around 100 pounds to lose, so it is expected to come off in "big chunks" over the first 6-8 weeks.  It should slow down and level off now, assuming I am getting the proper fuel.

I was put in contact with a nutritionist/licensed dietician yesterday, and she is reviewing my workout regime, body stats, and food plan.  Hopefully I will hear back from her in the next day or two with some suggestions.

I'm glad to hear that you are in good hands.
I am worried about taking too much artificial sweeteners, it is too much work for the liver.
Btw, ask your new nutritionist to devise a weekly menue, not a daily one.
