Subject: Add Weight, Add Success?
i am currently an 18 yr old male, who weighs 125, and stands 5'7", I'm a good runner and biker, and an ok simmer. Would adding weight or muscle make me better in races? If so how do i so effectively, eating and working out?

I am currently an 17 yr old male, who weighs 122, and stands 5'7", I'm a good runner and cyclist, and an ok simmer.  I just started Swimming on a swim team and that helps a lot.  Hit the weights in the off season more than during your peak phase.  Its hard to tell what a good runner or good cyclist means and ok swimmer.

For me that is about an 18:00min 5k (run), 32 min 20k (bike), and a 7:40 500yd (swim).

Less weight means better climbing ability so do not add weight just to "bulk up". When you add weight it better mean something worthwhile such as helping your LT power more than it slows you down with extra weight.

It would not help you in races unless that weight occurs naturally through developing muscles needed for the sport.  And you'd develop those best by simply swimming, biking & running.  Your weight is a huge benefit for the latter.

No need to go out of your way to gain weight.
But don't be afraid of lifting/eating. Don't focus on how much you weigh, but how fast/strong you are. Like someone else said, power to weight is the magic number.
