Both of the tri's I've done so far have been in what I consider ideal racing weather - between 55-60, overcast. I've seen some people referring to this temp as a bit too cold for them. I was just wondering if there is a lot of variance in people's ideal conditions.

When it's hot out I'm toast. I just recently did a 5 mile running race with the temperature in the mid-70's and I felt very uncomfortable the whole time. My times reflected it, too. Then again, I do most of my running training at 5:30A, so I'm used to colder temps.

Ideal for me would be between 60 - 75 degrees.  Although I can stand a wide variety temperatures and really it has to be very hot before I will claim it is too hot.  While the cold seems to affect my runs the most.

I'm in Tucson so's I likes it hot!  Give me low to mid 80's and not a breath of air.

I'm with you Victoria, 50-60 is great. Of course, all the races I've done have been running races, so I guess for a tri it would be nice to have it a bit warmer when getting out of the water.
