Comments: Always find it hard to pace. Usually come out too fast. Tried to Run a smarter race today. Considering my level of fitness, did well. My km splits were fairly good. Took walk breaks every 5k water station, otherwise kept running. Tried "counting" to distract my mind from the pain, worked fairly well. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Considered my training mileage is half of last years, but was only 3 minutes slower than last year, an honest effort. Post race
Warm down: Had a bottle of water & snacks at end. No big problem What limited your ability to perform faster: Fitness...been a busy year!!! Last updated: 2009-09-09 12:00 AM

Age Group Rank = 15/
Been Tapering, as per usual. No special Carb loading for me. In fact, had lamb & red wine last night. Up early this morning. Had bagel, 1 yogurt & coffee. Espresso Gel 15 mins prior to start.
Ran a km or so to get warm.
