stupid pool is closed for a week (it's an indoor/ outdoor pool and they are putting the bubble over it this week)

thoughts on what I should do? delete the swim workouts and make it a lower volume week? replace the swim workouts with rides and runs? make my own endless pool in my bathtub?

Just like my cooking, when I cant do it or it tastes bad, we order pizza

Give your partner a couple of extra spins and call it a core workout!

I am sure there is a pool, lake or pond within 100 miles of you if you really want to go swim, otherwise punt.

If I miss a swim or just feel like doing it, I do this funky made up exercise with 5 lbs dumb bells.

I kneel on the floor and do 100 reps of a swim style stroke directly parallel to the floor.  I then do 100 reps of curls.  Rest for 15 or 15 seconds and repeat until I hit 500 reps each.

After that, I sometime lay on my back on the coffee table and do an upside down version of a swim stroke.  This method seems to actually work the same muscles as swimming, but is not comfortable doing it.  If I am really energetic, I will do some flys and other stuff.

By this point, my two daughters and wife have seen enough and ask me to stop.

Only a week - I would just skip the swimming and use it as a mental break from staring at the black line at the bottom of the pool
