Run
Comments: It was so busy at the start I crossed the line with the 9 minute runners, so the first few miles were spent passing people. I had set out to average about a 7:40 pace but couldn't get through the traffic from the very start and couldn't really catch on to that pace. This race had a little bit of everything for me, times when I felt really good, times when I felt pretty bad and had to push myself. Mile 9-11 were the tough ones to stay on top of the pace. Going up one of the hills in city park I got pretty tuckered out and really slowed to a trot. This was the first time in the run I thought about dickdime and how much more adversity so many others have to go through. I picked up the pace from there and the rest of the race went great. I haven't trained a ton since the malibu tri in september so although I felt I should have been capable of a faster time I was happy with my overall performance. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Fitness, lack of enough training, my foot was kiling me. Event comments: Very cool race, great course, a lot of fun! Last updated: 2009-09-24 12:00 AM

granola bar and water for b-fast. Neighbors and I all rode down to the race together. I didn't make it to the course in time to meet the other bt'ers and was hoping to see a few during the race but there were so many people that I didn't see them.
Didn't get much of a warm up
