Alpine87 and I are meeting at Boulder Res (free lot) for a short ride up Old Stage Hill. I believe we're meeting at 8:00 ('cause I just can't get up any earlier than that on my day off!) Any other takers?

Hey Joe,

I am signed up for the Peak. I live on the west slope in Palisade. I have never been up Old stage road so I don't know truly how big the hill is. I have looked at the profile of the ride and it looks pretty gnarly. I have some good areas over here to train but wanted to see if anyone had first hand knowledge of old stage. Look forward to meeting my BT counterparts on the east slope in July at the race

Yep, this is one course I really want to ride before the race.

Count me in. If anything comes up, I'll let you know!

15% grade!  but you get a VERY nice reward on the back side of the hill.  A lot of people wind up walking their bike up that hill....not kidding!

The only hill that I can think of that might be close in GJ is the monument ride but since I haven't ridden either I can't tell you.

O, I can almost guarantee that we're only doing this one once!  600' climb in 2/3 mile?  Yeah, just once...

But if anyone wants to, I could be interested in doing a loop of the 5430 Sprint as well...

I'm always late to these posts!  Since I'm also riding the Elephant Rock century the next morning, I'm putting the Boulder Peak ride off for a week.  So, if anyone else can't make it on 6/4, then feel free to come up 6/11.  AND, we could ride the Oly course first, then the 5430 1/2IM course.  Could be fun!

PS - While joe is grunting up Old Stage, I'll be at the gravel pond (on 6/4).  If anyone prefers to swim - see you there!

Well as much as I need the ride I don't think I can make that one. I"m going OW swimming in Woodland Park that day. So I'm doing a brick tomorrow. But I got a 50-miler on June 11. Then I do the Sprint on June 19 and then I'm gone until July 5. So any takes on July 9?

Is this ride still happening? If so, count me in, as well as 2 (possibly 3) friends, one of which would be the guy that rode with us last time.

Ben - you want a ride up there? You in?

Himself - yes, the ride tomorrow is still on - 8:00am from the 'free lot'.  Bring as many as want to come.

Holliewd - you ALWAYS have an excuse to miss a group workout!

I'm going to have to bail on this ride. It was vetoed by my husband - we have multiple groups of family coming to visit over the next 2 weeks and we just have way too much stuff to do, so I need to stick closer to home.

Okay, so I hear it's raining like crazy up in Boulder (from a friend in Erie) and understand it's essentially unrideable. So for this one Ben (triforresttri) and I are gonna have to bail. Hopefully we'll be able to catch up on another one soon.
