Anyone participate in a metro area masters swimming group?

My interest stems from being able to get some instruction on technique. Curious if anyone has any recommendations.

Best in the area is run by Suzanne Grebe(sp?) Swimming is Mon, Wed, Sat at Milford Highschool, great facility...

Check out the link... http://www.milfordathleticclub.org/

You'll never meet anyone else that will work at fixing your technique as hard as you can... and then some...

Great bunch of people.... Members drive from Gross Pointe, Novi, Ann Arbor... All over... shes tops in the area.

I second the reference of Suzanne.  I have come along way with her help.

Thanks for the info guys. Unfortunately that is a) way way out of my way and b) would be hard to make it more than onceor twice a week with work.

Help me understand how this works.  The wife and I can make the morning swims during the week.  Looking at the registration info that shows up the current session ends December 19.  So I assume there will be a new course starting the first week of January or so, will the $100 registration fee cover a non resident for the entire 3 month session?  I just want to make sure that if I pay the $100 I won't be stuck with additional fees when I show up.

TIA

Rottie - I'm going to be signing up for this and contacted them already to find out.  What happens is that for your $100 you get a 20 session punch card (also they give you 3 free sessions up front to find out if you like it).  You've got 90 days to use the 20 sessions.  You can go 3 times a week, once a week, to the morning session or the night session - whenever you want.  They also meet year round - the coach told me that the Dec 19 doesn't really apply - if you want to sign up now you can start going now and still go into the new year, but I'm not sure if they take some time off around x-mas, I'll find that out if someone else doesn't already know the answer to that.

Thanks Coop!  That would work out pretty good with a 20 session punch card.  Due to my crazy work schedule I will hit periods where I may only get to go 3 or 4 times in a three week period.

K and I will be signing up in January as my schedule is hitting a lot of days they swim between now and Christmas.

Just wanted to bump this post to the top again and let folks know that you can register online for the session that starts in January.  Hopefully Karen and I will see some familiar faces as were both kinds of intimidated by this little swim adventure.
