I think it might be cancelled for 2012.  No longer appears on the 5150.com website...

Yes it is.  I emailed them last week since the website was in maintenance mode for a while.  They confirmed they were not doing the race this year.  Then later that day it was taken down from the 5150 site.

that would be a shame cuz I always heard very good reviews on it -

HOWEVER, this race organizer tried to pull the Miami Halfiron in 2010 (which I did) and it bombed.  Maybe they're not having luck with the Ironman brand. 

Sorry to see this race get dropped from the 5150 circuit, but I hope it goes back to being independent, and also become affordable.
