How can I find out how many people are racing in the Boulder Ironman 70.3? I would like to know the total count and how many in each age category. Just wondering on how many people to expect, and how many I will be racing against in my age category (I'll be 28). Thanks!

Cheers!

There is usually a participant list that you can download and sort -- not sure about that specific race.

You are racing in Boulder.  The competition will be stiff.

I was wondering if there is a set number for each age category. I guess I don't understand how the race works as far as the competition goes for placing and just seeing how many you're up against. I always thought you were racing everyone that showed up the day of the race, and not just your age category. Is that a correct thought? How does it work?

Thanks!

everyone races for overall placing/time.

so there will be 1st through xxxx

there are also age group awards for 1st through 3rd in each age group (at the 70.3 races a certain % get a spot to clearwater and at some to kona).

in boulder the overall and age group racing will be very competitive.

at the bigger races each age group or a few at a time will go off in waves. so 20-24, or 20-24 and 25-29 will go off at a time.

the race just sold out so there should be a list up at some point (i think the 70.3s put up participant lists)

Cheers!!
