Regular 76  Lansdale, PA |  Subject: Half Marathon in the Pocono'sHey Guys and Gals, Just wanted to introduce a new Half Marathon in Moscow, PA. I'm Currently in MI but will be moving back to my home state of PA mid March. I have always want to put on a half marathon prior to the fall marathon season that folks could use as a tune up. Well here it is. The Moscow Half Marathon (proceeds to benifit the Boy Scouts and North Pocono Cross Country Team) Sept. 19, 2010 Starting and Finishing at the North Pocono Middle School. More info can be found at www.reacttri.com This is a small company that I am starting to host Tri's and other endurance events. Look for more come 2011. I'm currently working on a four race seires Du-athlon, Sprint, Oly and Half Iron for the NEPA area. |

You've scheduled your half marathon the same day as the Philadelphia Distance Run, a large and very popular half-marathon in Philadelphia. I realize Philly & the Poconos are not exactly in the same neck of the woods, but I suspect you might loose a few potential participants to PDR.... Just something to think about for scheduling in future years.... |

| Member 91 | Subject: RE: Half Marathon in the Pocono's Great to have some new races in town! But I also agree w/ the post above...PDR is a BIG race and not too far away. You may get some people that don't want to pay and deal w/ the Philly race, but you may lose more than you gain. |

The week prior is another local half Marathon 2. I wanted to offer this as a tune up for the local Steamtown Marathon in Oct. I was figuring on a more local crowd the first year Thank you for the well wishes and I'll keep you all up to date. |
