For those of you in the Columbus area that are Y members, 2 or 3 of my friends and I are thinking about having an unofficial/practice tri at the Hilliard YMCA on May1st to start the season out, probably around 8AM.  This is in no way associated with the Y, but we are just going to use the pool since we all work out there.

We are still working on the details, but it will probably be between a 400 - 800 yd swim, a 12-13 mile bike on the roads near the Y and then a 5k on Heritage Trail.

If anyone is interested in joining us let me know and I will PM details when we have them worked out.

Sounds fun! I am doing the Cap City Half Marathon that day, though, so I can't make it. Thank you for the invite, though!

I'm in the same boat as Alice. I'll be in PA. getting ready for Pittsburgh Marathon (May 2nd). I live in Hilliard and work out at the Y also. If you guys decide to change the date, or if you do it again, I would definitely be in!

Same- Cap city 1/2

But this is a great idea- maybe we can do some saturday or sunday workouts?

Ahh, I can't wait for the water at Alum Creek to warm up a bit!

you guys are all nuts with the 1/2 marathon stuff.  I ran 8 on Saturday and the wheels fell off at mile 7, but that could have been a result of the 3 Tim Hortons donuts I ate for breakfast before running instead of my normal oatmeal

Let me know when you start swimming at Alum Creek.  I need to work on my OW skills this year.
